A Very Subject Thanksgiving

17, 63, 119, 154, 253, and 1183 were all sleeping in their respective rooms in the facility, unaware of the holiday that was occurring on that day (except, maybe, for 17, who liked to read,) when a certain Dr. Stephano burst into the living-room that connected the six cells. "Wake up everyone!" he yelled, "I hope nobody ate last night!"

154 kicked his door open, glaring at the scientist that had killed him—if only for a moment. On the bright side, the ability to shoot bolts of lightning from your hands was nice. They had even changed the title of 154's designated project; Project "Rejuvenate" quickly became Project "Thunderbird" when his newfound powers were discovered. And it even gave him a small bit of extra time before he got shipped out to war, to master the power of THUNDAH!

17 groggily marched out of 1183's room, too tired to try and read Stephano's mind. 1183 wasn't far behind, and her complacent smirk quickly faded when she saw Dr. Stephano. The telekinetic girl was still having nightmares about trying to rip 154 from the electric chair. The only upside was that she was stronger now.

The rest of the subjects awoke and came into the main room, none of them noticing the fact that there was a big table set out in front of them, with chairs and plates and plastic utensils set out for nine people.

"What do you want, Stephen?" 63 grumbled, scratching the back of her head. 253 couldn't help but remember the time when he had pulled on some of that copper-tinged hair while he—wait, wait, think of the kids.

"It's Stephano," the good doctor said flatly, "And I want you all to sit down at the table and wait."

"Why?" 119 asked, already reaching for a chair. 17 grabbed the chair in question, pulling it out and letting 1183 sit.

"Just do it," Stephano said, in a tone that everyone was used to him using. His "I have a surprise for you" tone.

The subjects complied. After all, they had to. Stephano was their superior. Even if he was known to be a crazy asshole…

Not even ten minutes later, Dr. Webber and Creech pranced into the room, followed by one or two janitors, all carrying baskets and trays of food. The young subjects were having a hard time processing this, until 17 snorted and planted his face on the table.

"What's this?" 253 asked, swallowing hard afterwards. Crap. He hadn't had a drink of water since before he went to bed.

"This," Creech said, his moustache twitching, "is Thanksgiving dinner…breakfast."

--

154 tore away at the turkey that Dr. Creech had carved, ripping the meat apart. Being the youngest in the room, he was still growing, and not many scientists in the facility realized that a growing boy needed his nutrition. Meanwhile, Dr. Webber was returning to the scene with a pot full of…something. This particular something was dark orange, with little bits of various ingredients floating around on the top.

"Does anybody want some pumpkin soup?" she asked, to the cocked eyebrows of three out of five people in the room. Nonetheless, most of the subjects gratefully accepted a little more food.

1183 took the mug filled with soup happily. After tasting it, she felt the need to exclaim "This stuff is delicious!"

119, still skeptical, turned from her stuffing to the mug of soup. She spooned some of the mushy orange stuff into her mouth and grimaced. It tasted too strongly of garlic and onion. "It's…fantastic?" she managed to croak.

"If you don't like it," Webber said, getting a mug for herself, "you don't have to eat it. You tried it, and that's what matters."

And so went the first Thanksgiving for the Subjects. Now, on to the Mass Effect OCs…
I felt like doing this.

It cuts off so abruptly because I ran out of ideas xD

119, 153, Creech (c) Me
1183, 153, Webber (c) Scee-Kel
63, 17, Stephano (c) Vulfeh

Well, I felt like the Subjects deserved a little good food.
